We have heard these questions from many inquiring couples since the pandemic hit. What is a Micro Wedding? If I plan a Micro Wedding, why do I need a Wedding Planner? If I plan a DIY Micro Wedding, do I need to hire a planner?
Let me start by answering the first question. What is a Micro Wedding? A Micro Wedding is a term we have adopted for weddings that comply with the Health Boards and CDC that comprises of 50 or less guests (depending on your state guidelines and regulations). This isn’t an intimate wedding with just 3-4 vendors. A Micro Wedding has all your wedding vendors and all the stunning details and designs of any wedding you have dreamed of. The only difference is that your guest count is smaller.
The advantages of a Micro Wedding is that you can truly be more creative in many ways. You will be setting less tables for guests so you and your planner can design a more elaborate floral centerpiece to WOW yours guests. Your dinner menu can be enhanced with gourmet items you have always desired. In many ways, its feels more magical for everyone.
The answer to the second part is yes. You ALWAYS need a wedding planner, no matter how small or large the event is. You would not build your dream home without a general contractor to manage and oversea the integrity of the home. So why would you not hire a wedding planner to manage and oversea the integrity of your wedding day?
Whether you are planning an elaborate luxury wedding or a DIY wedding that comprises of many hand picked details and elements. You will need a team to execute these items so that you can enjoy your wedding day. You need your general contractor in charge!
A Micro Wedding may seem off putting to some couples. However, at the end of the day the safety of your loved ones is number one priority and the decision is yours and yours alone.
